Below is our article for the Autumn edition of the Suffolk Chamber magazine, Chamber Voice, on artificial intelligence and its impact on skills, authored by Blue Novation’s Learning & Development Director Trudy Sore.

We see this as the 4th Industrial Revolution and we continue to build on our knowledge of the best ways to utilise new technologies for delivering training in the age of AI.

For our initial research, we secured a grant through the New Anglia Growth Through Innovation Fund (GTi), which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.  We then used funding from EIRA to conduct usability trials in collaboration with the University of Suffolk, looking at the impact of virtual reality training on soft skills.

This has given us a clearer view of how to utilise virtual reality scenarios to deliver training and we will publish the results of our usability trials in the next few weeks.
